    Sales Dogs (Book Review)

"If you want to enter the world of business, you must learn how to sell."
    Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad

Review by James Jenkins - SalesDogs by Blair Singer, one of the world's top sales communication specialists, is another of the tremendously popular Rich Dad's Advisors series of books.

SalesDogs shatters the myth that you have to be an aggressive attack dog to be successful in sales and profiles the individual strengths of five different "breeds" of SalesDogs.

It is a very effective book both for individuals and sales managers, as it stresses the importance of communication and sales skills development.

I personally enjoyed Singer's profiling of the different "breeds" of SalesDogs, as I found myself thinking about what type of SalesDog I identify with and how I can leverage my own skills and learn from the natural skills and talents of the other breeds.

"I was told as a kid, that if I wanted to be wealthy, I needed to learn how to work with people and learn how to sell. With the ability to sell comes the ability to create income anytime anyplace and anywhere. Sales is the life blood of any business. Its lessons are also some of the best secrets to get what you want out of life, financially and emotionally."

    Blair Singer

Even if you do not work in sales, SalesDogs is a great book to read, because though many of us may not realize it, sales are a significant part of our daily lives. Whether you are trying to sell your boss on the idea of a promotion, your children on brushing their teeth before they go to bed or your spouse on what type of restaurant you want to go to, improved sales skills can benefit every aspect of your life.

One of the most important elements of the book is Singer's focus on emotional management and the incredible knowledge that you will acquire from OVERCOMING your own mental obstacles.

Sales are the life blood of any business, and if you truly desire financial freedom and wish to escape from the "rat race", it is critical that you take the necessary steps to BUILD your sales skills. SalesDogs is packed with over 20 years of the most effective sales strategies and techniques, and is written by an author who has trained ten of thousands of individuals and organizations ranging from Fortune 500 to 25 person companies.

I personally recommend SalesDogs as a terrific book that will improve both your business and communication skills.
